Thank you. 320 bales today, 220 to go. We only get one cutting with native grass. Not many grow alfalfa around here, tò harsh of an environment to get more then one cutting. Isn't that how it always during haying season, rain!?

We used to plant alfalfa but now only manage (semi)native grasses and clover as well. I've been thinking of trying to plant the actual native grasses for our area like big blue stem. The original grasses were killed off and choked out by previous practices. #haytalk
I've never cared to do much with alfalfa, I'm really allergic to it. Native grass is bad enough!
