There are some Christians who don't seem to understand that being Christian doesn't make you better than anyone else, actually if you were really a Christian you would realize that, it's never been about being better than anyone. If you are truly a Christian you will understand it's really admitting your flaws and your short comings and even though you know you will stumble and fail picking up your cross and carrying it up hill anyway. It's not about debating and trying to dunk on people in debates, it's not about seeing who can dress the nicest in church or who has the prettiest cross necklace none of that. Pick up your cross and and bare it.

Didn't go far enough.

It's not just about "flaws and shortcomings." That terminology downplays the seriousness of our estate. It is about our sin and rebellion against the one true and holy God, by which we justly deserve nothing from him but infinite and eternal wrath.

Yet, he is gracious in sending a mediator to atone for our sin by his own blood, so that we may receive mercy and forgiveness instead.
