OBiden announced the “first-ever federal safety standard for Excessive HEAT in the workplace.”

The rule would apply to indoor and outdoor workers who engage in physical activity and are exposed to a heat index of (ONLY) 80°F or higher.

Under the proposed rule, Employers in certain jobs would have to establish a Heat SAFETY Coordinators for the workplace & REQUIRING them to Provide Mandatory Paid Breaks and a Quart of Cold Water for EVERY Employee Every HOUR, LIMIT Long Haul Trucker’s to 15 minutes per hour for Unloading, Restrict New Employees and Current Employees Returning to Work after More than 14 Days Away for Vacation or Sickness to Reduced Work!
