I understand that rate cuts are bad for risk asset prices. But I'm looking at a chart and it looks like risk assets usually pump when interest rates are being increased, EXCEPT for this hiking cycle. What does this mean? Thanks

Trying to find an explanation for anything other than a simple DCF feels a lot like astrology to me so I have no clue.

But that’s one of my hopes for a Bitcoin world. Let’s make investing simple again. Tell me the discount rate and the future cash flows and I’ll tell you what it’s worth to me.

If you come up with a plausible explanation I’d be interested in seeing it. But I have a feeling it will sound a lot like that Marin chick on Twitter. Saturn is rising or some shit 🤣

I'm just trying to see how the macro guys explain away these things. Same with before the year 2000... The correlations between assets and interest rates aren't the same as they have been since.

People relying on it are gonna get rugged at some point.

Agree. People need savings technology and that's Bitcoin.
