You could type someone a letterā¦and send it to them over the telephoneā¦but, like, not the kind of phone with a screen on itā¦and it was like a printerā¦but not like the kind you use with a computerā¦and half the time it came through and you couldnāt even read the wordsā¦and it took about a minute to send a whole pageā¦
You know what, never mindā¦
My first office job I had to fax some documents over. I punched buttons and finally figured it out and then slowly fed the 10 pages one by one until a co worker pointed out that I was doing it face up and not down so had just faxed 10 blank pages over.

Believe it or not but we still use one at my job. Not often but enough to still have the phone line
