#Firefox integrates Firefox Relay, its privacy feature that masks email addresses, directly into the browser, providing users with enhanced online #privacy and protection from unsolicited marketing communications.

Users can shield their personal email addresses and minimize data exposure by using Firefox Relay for surveys, social media sign-ups, form submissions, and registrations.

Mozilla plans to roll out the built-in Relay feature to millions of Firefox users in the next few weeks, aligning with its commitment to privacy-driven products. #news

Duckduckgo already made that email anonymizer already a year ago. Tons of websites do it too

Relay was first released as a Firefox extension way back in 2020, well before the Duck copied them. The Duck plays catch-up when they could be on the bleading edge instead. 😵

Are these email aliases going to get flagged and not accepted by sites, similar to what has happened with SimpleLogin? Better to eliminate email entirely and move to using Lightning and/or Nostr for authentication.

Probably! But it’s a best effort with the broken ass system we have. 🤣
