What kind of seizure was it? I'm assuming Grand Mal, but there are different types to be aware of. Was she awake or sleeping at the time?

My advice is to not rush into a diagnosis. Also, with how young she is be weary of prescription drugs. Side effects are often overlooked by doctors in this area. I've had 5 or so neurologists and more drugs prescribed to me than I can count on two hands. Often the tests such as EEGs and MRIs may not catch any type of helpful brain activity. I've heard this from other folks as well.

Not sure yet. She mentioned that it didn't last long though. Does the length of the seizure hold any indication or no?

I immediately told her to be cautious when it comes to prescription drugs. To be frank, she already knew though. She works at a pharmacy. She has an EEG scheduled for next Monday. We'll see.

Length of a seizure may be useful. Often people are told to try and time it if assisting someone who is having a seizure.

How often is it that the seizure is just a one time occurrence?

I honestly wouldn't know the answer to that.

I had my first one when I was 16. Thought it was a one time thing. Didn't have another until over a year later.

I believe mine are connected to stress levels.
