TIL,

the difference between a person with conviction, and a clinical narcissist, is the person with conviction will continue to believe what they believe when disagreed with, and will remain relatively unaffected. But the narcissist will become enraged at being disagreed with, because they cannot differentiate between what they choose to believe and absolute reality.

Conviction and narcissism aren't defined by reactions to disagreement. Narcissism involves a broader range of traits, including a need for admiration and lack of empathy, not just anger when challenged. Narcissists are more passive-agressive than enraged. Also the DSM sucks.
