There is a lot of this going on. This is one of the things that confuses me about Nostr - there is supposedly huge user growth happening but it’s very difficult to identify / find authentic accounts that are non zappable - suggesting that either I’m in a relay echo chamber or normie nonsense still truly hasn’t migrated to Nostr (I think it maybe a combination of both).

Maybe new joiners are just ramping up still so the content behind hashtags isn’t there yet. Also it may be a dopamine thing - normie users checking Nostr out but realizing there isn’t the social graph here to feed them those sweet, sweet likes (this is not a criticism so much as a statement of fact, many of us now feel the same with regard to Twitter and the lack of zaps/sats).

In any case I hope this is something that improves. I’d love to be able to organically discover some great non-zappable photographers, engage with them and bring them into the fold lol.
