Without name calling can someone explain why LND hasn’t really signaled interest in BOLT-12? Is it somehow “incompatible”?

BOLT12 has a wide range of features, LND already supports parts of the Blinded Route Feature, moreover LND 19 will include Onion Msg support, the final invoice feature will come after that
