This is not a property dispute. It is a quest for colonial expansion and domination. ‘Thirty days’ will soon become an extended occupation, and eventual annexation.

Lebanon is in a unique position where half the nation has sold out to the empire, while half retains the desire to resist.

This could go the way of war again, or Hezbollah, now weakened by leadership decapitation and Assad’s demise, may be forced to accept ceding Lebanese territory to ‘Greater Israel’.

The pressure is high on Hezbollah, while resistance remains an intricate part of its fabric through and through. Let’s see how they respond after the 60 days are over.

Stealing land is fundamentally a property rights issue. Surely there are other rights violations happening simultaneously.

But the entire concept of rights requires defense for enforcement. A disarmed populace can’t have rights for long, as past and present events repeatedly teach us.
