From posting a new post into a community, to getting approval from moderators.

Users can create moderated communities like Reddit subs, to share curated content. But this is powered by #nostr, which is not controlled by any single entity.

I know you were planning to make Zapddit into a full-fledged Reddit clone, nostr:npub1ltx67888tz7lqnxlrg06x234vjnq349tcfyp52r0lstclp548mcqnuz40t, but such optional functionality seems interesting, especially that it already has demand and a huge community built around this model. What do you think?

I am following the development of the NIP.

We could make moderated communities an optional thing as you said.

Optional probably IS a #Nostr way. I feel like the main thing is not to force anyone into anything. It’s cool you are looking into this, guys! I’m sure there are many more use cases to NIP-172 than just creating Reddit clones.

Thanks for tagging, nostr:npub1alpha9l6f7kk08jxfdaxrpqqnd7vwcz6e6cvtattgexjhxr2vrcqk86dsn, and for the work you do! Super interesting stuff!

Wait. Every moderated community needs to approve all notes?

For moderated communities, yea.

Excited to look over this tomorrow.
