Myomectomy in other country may cost between 11000 USD to 22000 USD. For my wife operation, It is estimated that I will pay a ceiling of RM15,000 (3433 USD) for the operation. Even at a more expensive private hospital, the same operation would cost at max 4577 USD.

My wife have insurance, but it is still short from the maturity period by a few months. So I decided to fork out our own cash + medical loan for the operation. Of course, with out average GDP, it do cost us a fortune, but thinking about the cost in other country, I am still grateful that I can still pay for it.
