Really? I mean, he doesn't have to be, IIUC.

It seems like one would mostly need to build a sound digital system around elementary concepts. All the "advanced" monetary topics are where the fraud occurs and the "common sense" parts is where it works.

We know who was part of Satoshi and we know that he was an expert in the above topics...it is impossible to discern the technical part from the theoretical part.

Ah, well, my point is that the financial/economic part may only need to be basic for it to be sound.

All the complicated stuff is what makes models obscure enough that unsoundness/incorrectness is obscured away.
