I think I will stop doing as many zaps, one because it costs a lot and I feel a lot is wasted. And two it creates fake engagement and fake relationships with people.

Better to keep zaps more sparingly and meaningful when you do zap.

Just do smaller zaps if you feel like it's going to waste. My default zap is 2 sats. That's nothing, less than a cent.

If it makes me think or I think it's worthy of more I send more.

That's essentially how I treat it. Like a like.

But it's two sats they can send to someone else. I really want to see nostr get more widespread adoption, if it helps motivate anyone to stay on here or post more than I'm getting my monies worth. I know I enjoy receiving even a single sat from some stranger for a random comment, makes it feel worth it.
