TSA facial ID: you see them everywhere now and imo, it's best to opt out, but not because the tech itself is bad but rather because there's no trust in the claims that data gets purged and that it's encrypted.
It's pretty common to expect these databases to get hacked over time, linking biometrics to the face/fingerprints, etc.
Given all this, I wonder if there's anyone in the wild working on decentralized system that brings the efficiency of biometrics but without the risks of centralization?
#digitalid discussions always leave out the active side: targeted programming. Not just what you say and do, but what you see and know can be deeply controlled. In an AI-driven loop that can measure and program you personally in the deepest imaginable way
"being tracked, traced, surveilled, monitored, databased, regulated, allowed, disallowed, measured, mandated, restricted, cajoled, punished and reduced" ... AND PROGRAMMED
The tyranny this enables is really hard to imagine.
