I'm going to be living the #Cashu experience to the fullest in the coming weeks.

The receipt of tokens should be automatic as nostr:nprofile1qqsg2aharxl7dy7t5mc2acemssnnxscxs3hvvxm9uttpwgy7rsppq3spzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuvrcvd5xzapwvdhk6tc6k8dcr does. Notifications are great but it's a little annoying to have to open the wallet to receive your expired tokens. 🥜

Don't have anything to comment on npub . cash + minibits + NWC

my npub . cash setup is simpler but not instant. my npub . cash address is my npub, zaps to my npub go to them, every week or so I login and generate ecash and send it to my wallet and mint. only notification I get is a nostr DM from npub . cash

pretty happy with this, I dont always have my cashu wallet open so this asynchronous approach works for me

If you see that combo of expired and received transaction regularly, it means your wallet is "behind" the mint with the value of recovery index used to generate ecash. Head to Settings > Recovery > Increase indexes to fix it.

It's true that to claim received zaps you need to open the app - Minibits ecash lives in your device, it's not server-side custodial solution.

Minibits uses background processing (even when app is killed) via encrypted push messages to receive nwc commands to send zaps. There are however issues that android tend to interrupt such processing in some cases, so until this can be made more resilient I won't increase the scope of bg processing.
