Since AI art is generated by algorithms, mesh-wired data gathered over time, and computers, there is no single “creator of a piece”. The US copyright office ruled that AI art cannot be copyrighted “as it lacks human authorship necessary for protection.”

My guess is new structures, frameworks and copyright laws will be created to address future commercialization of AI generated content where humans and machines collaborate to frictionlessly commercialize AI generated art while compensating data harvested artists simultaneously.
