I'm trying to be better about trashing Iris and the other clients, since I know it's hard to write even just a relatively static web app, but it seems to just repeat messages a lot. Thread views are broken, I get follow notifications for people who didn't actually follow me, my relay list gets reset often, the global feed seems to scroll in a loop, etc.
It's very impressive for the short amount of time it took for it to get to this point, but it's also a buggy mess, and the primary emphasis for the Nostr people seems to still be zaps instead of rock-solid clients.
What was wrong with Coracle?
I think it also only does pubkey viewing, not posting...Or maybe I'm missing something and could paste my private key there? I already feel weird about just pasting my private key in Iris.
That would be really weird if you couldn’t use a private key. That seems like it can’t be true.

iris supports signing via extensions, so you dont need to give it your key

ok iris has lots of bugs
It gets bonus points for being the first semi-usable-ish client for desktops, but I think it won't be long before it's overtaken by another project that actually worked on design for a while before slapping code into a repo.
no clients perfect but most have some good points, devs need to collaborate on common tools
