Doesn’t it feel more open and accepting to any historically marginalized group to just include them and how they impacted society in existing history classes? This separate class approach feels like it continues to force them into a “different” and “other” bucket. I don’t have a strong opinion here, just an initial reaction and open to changing my mind. I think if it was an advanced college/grad school class where people are at the detailed and specialized learning point of their academic career it makes more sense to me.
