They just thought they'll get rich quick! That's what GBTC is all about right, right ;)
GBTC still has the highest fee of all the bitcoin etfs. Most holders likely moved to lower cost options like ibit or fbtc.
Maybe they misunderstood the meaning of 'halving'.
