Capital One just restricted my checking account and I’ve tried every customer support number and online chat I can find and they all tell me they’re closed on Sundays. At the same time I got an email from Lolli that my Capital One card had been unlinked, so I assume it’s related 🤷♂️ It’s not my primary bank and I mostly use it for bitcoin stuff, so all signs point to issues with that. I can’t access those funds until after I have a chance to contact them tomorrow when they open. Fuck fiat. 😂

This story is more and more common amongst the consolidating big banks. If you have a community credit union in your area switch to them.

My wife and I had an issue with Square that was similar. She had just opened a small business checking account with them and they just nuked it for no reason and they intentionally made it so you can’t reach out to them to get a human on the line.
💯 that’s the worst part. Thankfully this isn’t a crucial account or amount of funds for us, so it can wait a day until they open. But it’s not unthinkable that this could be our only bank account, and then what if were traveling or facing some emergency and this left us stranded? It’s not out of the realm of reality. Terrible service.
Makes me think I gotta find a credit union as a bank account I do all my Bitcoin based stuff so it’s less likely to get cut off but is separate from my main accounts so I can always pay for food and utilities even if this happens
