I've decided screw waiting for a potential employer to "pick me."
I'm still going to apply and interview places, but this economy sucks for job seekers.
I'm going to see if I can fill my spare hours with a side gig consulting.
Maybe that side gig turns into a full self-employed situation.

My job is ruining my physical and mental health, but now I have options that don't depend on someone else. Very freeing, even if that only helps me interview from a place of calm, instead of desperation.
