How many of you remember Thanksgiving Day, 1997? I do, specifically, the FDA approved IDEC-C2B8 in lymphoma. America knows it as Rituximab and Europe Mabthera.

That drug has saved and extended thousands of lives in lymphoma. The first ever Moncoclonal Antibody every approved for cancer, Anti-C2B8.

I am grateful for the experts. The doctors, especially Dr. Ron Levy, it took 20 long years to get Rituxan developed. There are so many doctors who spend their entire careers trying to help get drugs from bench to bedside to save loved one's lives.

I remember the earliest days of Clinical Trials on IDEC-C2B8, I remember being in contact with some of the first recipients and their families.

One of which was TAVYBLUE whose husband was a brave soul to try it. He died. It still haunts me. How? They hadn't figured out yet to always give a massive IV of Benadryl with every Rituxan infusion which is standard today and he died.

To all of you out there on the Internet, who are Dr. Google, who think you know better, check yourselves.

You are one blood test away from getting your proverbial ass handed to you or for one of your family members. You get smarter, fast. It rocks you to your Physical, Mental, Spiritual, and Financial core.

Same to all of you who think you are smarter than anyone in any profession. Stay humble. Be thankful. Happy Thanksgiving America and peace to all those on Mother Earth.
