Bitcoiners have an appreciation for nonfiat lasting products and lifestyles. Enter wool, my friends. Wool is insane. I live a heavy indoor/outdoor lifestyle and I have become obsessed with wool. It's always warm to the touch, water resistant, fast drying, beautiful, natural, non-toxic, and odor resistant. This idea is top of mind because it's been stormy and cold in TN lately. I would even choose wool over a raincoat in the rain. In the ecosystem I grew up in, this is forgotten knowledge. It isn't cheap, fast, or easy but it is beautiful and beautifully optimized for life outside our fiat boxes. To be fair, not all wool construction is super durable, but a simple canvas layer can help bridge that gap.

What are the shirts you’re wearing?

I've bought a handful of name brand sweaters off of ebay for like $30-40 that are 100% wool (makes sure you get pics of the sizing. Used stuff can be weird sizes if shrunk). An Aran cable knits, a jcrew. I've got some meriwool off Amazon that I like as a baselayer (animal smelling when brand new). I've got a boiled wool hat from New Zealand and a few Filson pieces. I haven't been brave enough to try 100% wool undergarments so I usually go with smartwool, which is a wool blend but a lot more durable. My bedding is wool now too.

I’m slowly shifting away from fiat clothes(and everything else) replacing worn out stuff and wool seems better, but im still less familiar w care. I love my button ups but haven’t got into base layers yet

I would say start with some high wool fabric content blends from brands you trust. Most brands have a wool blend shirt of one kind or another. In my experience, items with more than 50%wool get a lot of the properties of wool and they are a little more durable and washable. Wool care is learning curve for sure. My 100% wool pieces, I don't wash often. When I do, I'll usually spot wash or hand wash and air dry.

It’s crazy but you can wear a good pair of merino wool socks in your work or hunting boots for up to three days and they don’t smell like something died in there. Plus they are super durable.
