Good step. But he’s wrong about it being his job to ensure the safety of American citizens. It’s each individual’s responsibility. The government just has to protect personal property rights, defend national borders, uphold the rule of law, and otherwise stay the fuck out of citizens’ lives and pocketbooks.

I’m for a minimalistic Nation state that you outline above. It will take a while before this scenario has chance to play out. The first step is to crush the dreams of a globalist superstate, and people like Trump and Milei and Orban and Meloni are important stepping stones in this process.
I’m very pleased of how the last couple of years have played out, but it’s a looooong way to go!
