I'm not a fan of dollarisation. Indeed, like nostr:npub1l9qghernyxp9st0wgx47x2ym0prjdgkwv22q7s692y6k6hgejmvsvpez0u says, while Milei thinks central banks are terrible and need to be shut down, we'll now fully depend on the federal reserve. :sip:

A quick rundown of the situation on account of being Argentinian and following Milei's adventures since 2014: Argentina is a far left country with a gigantic state, 45% poverty, generations that live on state gibs, a legal system that blatantly favours criminals and one of the highest tax burdens in the world, but a Venezuelan standard of living. Milei plans to eliminate 90% of ministries, reduce taxes, reform the police and army so they can do their job and eliminate the biggest everyday problem that is inflation.

He's also a raging philo-Semite who hates China, Russia, Iran and all the countries that oppose the globalists and loves the USA, EU and basically anything aligned with the globalists. He plans to do Trump's stunt of moving the Argentine embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, which is the first country he plans to visit if he wins. He has a personal rabbi and studies the Torah in his spare time despite not being jewish. He follows the Chicago school of economics and Rothbard is his idol (the man advocating for selling children on the free market, which Milei supports).

So, there's a lot that's wrong with Milei, but even with all that, he's the best option by far.

The other candidates include a leftist that's our current minister of economy (the country keeps going to hell under his watch); an old hag that used to be in a far left terrorist organisation and now plays at being a liberal (economically); the former mayor of Buenos Aires, who signed a deal with some globohomo company to feed people crickets and soy-based fake meat; and an even further far leftist that's basically a furry in a diaper, in ideological terms.
