mmh i dunno where i read the original but here’s my memory of it. makes 2 large pint jars
3 large mangoes. cut and slice into big chunks
1.5c half + half milk
3/4c maple sugar
8 saffron threads
- heat 1/2c milk on stove on low with saffron. heat for a minute or two, dont let it boil!
- remove from heat, stir in sugar
- mix in rest of milk 🥛
- put half of mango in blender, pour in half of milk mixture
- blend, pour into pint
- repeat with remaining mango + milk
- freeze and creamify on low sugar ice milk
