I've been saying this for years and long before nostr. I've been streaming since 2018 and it always blew my mind that creators have no measure when it comes to the size of their content. Images or videos, makes no difference. Most people watch streams, podcasts and co on mobile devices these days. 4k is absolutely overrated. We're not watching to read text on-screen but to watch video content.

I still have a working 720 tv from 2009. 75% of the time I don’t even care

I hear you. I watch most movies on 720. Probably my age but I see no difference between 720+p and 1080p and 720 just down-streams better for me.
