nostr is often very toxic and obnoxious with a high proportion (in a small community) of right wing-esque people trying to spread their repulsive culture of misogyny, weaponry worship and all such hate-oriented & violent things that are more often than not highly correlated with each other.

There’s a ton of that on Twitter too. You’re going to find people you don’t like everywhere lol. Just mute those people and follow folks who have sentiments that you resonate with.
