Give him a break, the church he grew up in, homosexuality was one of the worst sin you could commit.

Homosexuality is an overtly banned in the made up Bible. Child molestation is only peripherally banned by the commands against homosexuality, and adultery. Technically you could pull a Mohammad and marry a female at any age, and the Bible wouldn’t have anything negative to say about it. Paul actually gives us instructions on how to properly have sex with child brides.
