Russia can and probably will use Bitcoin for international payments. Where I think they will hit snags in the short term is with Bitcoin usage in China. Let’s say Russia pays a Chinese drone manufacturer in Bitcoin. Is that company able to pay employees, parts vendors, power supplier, taxes on Bitcoin? If not they have to trade for Yuan in an exchange that will be threatened with sanctions from the US. Bitcoin circular economy is key and IDK how feasible it is in China.
