User retention doesn’t look too good right now on #thenostr (especially last month)… what can we do? 
Occams Razor suggests war news/info. Its kind of the elephant in the room here (the obvious avoidance of it that is) but nostr is all the better for it. A bit of an oasis really.
Junkies gonna need their fix- thats the mainstream legacy way, divide and conquer.
Yes, most people are looking for news or entertainment content, I suppose. Nostr doesn't provide that fix instantly, you have to immerse yourself in the community.

Do we have bots to only publish news from different sources? Seems an easier short-term fix.
Yep, true. For me the discovery process was interesting and made me think more deeply ie, little need to follow the "names" because global will cover that (unexpected)- Still ongoing and so looking forward to seeing the Nostr grow.
You have to admit though, it takes a bit of commitment. Also coupled with that, many will arrive with a set of preconceived adeas, which likely, won't be met outside of Bitcoin and so wheres the fix, where's the content I'm looking for..?
News/info/thoughts on the big issues is tough for them to find and engage with I expect. I think its consciously avoided here tbh but I don't mind that at all. I always leave with a smile on me dial :)
