Yea ditch primal as your primary. Damus, amethyst, nostur all work fine for basic functioning. Nostr is not just one app
Your issues seem to be with Primal. The cool thing about Nostr is you can change apps and not lose anything. Give nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 a run and see if things are better for you. Also remember Nostr isn’t competing with X, it’s the alternative where the algorithm doesn’t dictate your feed. You make your own feed here. Give it some time before you give up on it. 🫂🤙🏻
