Toilet paper cores used to make winter fire starters. Once lit, these burn for a long time. Seed oils make ‘em burn longer (the only real use for seed oil).

Literally using seed oils for what they are intended for
Have you noticed that the opening in tp core is larger? This makes the roll of paper look bigger, even though you get less paper. I notice things like that.
If you cut them into two smaller tubes and fill them with loamy soil, you can make a pretty cheap tray full of seed starts.
I like that idea.
I fill mine with dryer lint
