I still can't even seem to get the hang of gifs, dangit. None of them drag and drop.
I figured out the issue, you can use the <> on the extension's thumbnai preview to get the embed code, and paste the code into your reply, then just delete everything there except the image URL. It works, but it's work 😑
PS - this is what I see on Amethyst, while on Primal, it just shows me the link you posted
