The Earth had to form just right—distance, gravity, atmosphere, magnetic field.

Life had to spark from nothing.

Evolution had to grind on for billions of years.

Dinosaurs had to get wiped out by a space rock.

Apes had to get weird so Homo sapiens could show up.

And then over 12,000 generations of humans had to survive:

Predators. Extinctions.

Enemies. War.

Famine. Disease.

Childbirth. Infant mortality.

Economic collapse. Depressions.

Oppression. Tyranny. Technological disruption and so on…
