The magic ingredient in a Democracy is tolerance of your fellow citizens. Tolerance of views and preferences and that requires open debate. Censorship is the most cowardly act of authoritarianism there is because it assumes you are the arbiter of truth and do not need to debate your views. That is pathetic and weak and shows that you do not believe in Democracy at all.
