Some people think it's a good thing, otherwise you get something like facebook where people go on essay long rants.

nostr definitely supports those uses cases though, so you could build a nostr facebook if you wanted to.

And a chatroom... lots of flexible and interoperable use cases

Other than the notepad, these examples make sense to me.

Notepad entries are just text notes. Threads are notepads. You can have a notepad with a tree-like structure. I was testing this because I was experimenting with an "edit" note for updating existing notes.

I'd only be worried about a length greater than a hundred kilobytes? Allow the client to deal with the display mechanism.
