The world wants to tell young men that fatherhood is a burden, a sacrifice, something that “slows you down.”

They’ve got it completely backwards.

Fatherhood sharpens you. It gives you urgency, weight, and meaning. It forces you to grow up and live for something greater than yourself. It roots you in time, past, present and future.

It’s the most important thing you’ll ever do.

And the most sacred.
