Lightning is difficult to work with, software is alpha, incentives lean heavily towards custodians, self hosting solutions continually break for me after years, LND force closes my channel out of nowhere, and much more.

Nostr continues to overlook important functionality/fundamentals but at the same time people talk about nostr like how they talked about Bitcoin but in 2020, way too bullish. The relay model feels broken to me, either we centralize into paid relays or the free relays get spammed into oblivion. Or both at the same time.
