Now that I've noticed it, yes it seems to be a large bright constellation. I should probably call it Scorpius to be more accurate. I don't know what's going to happen to it as we move into summer here but I see Orion, almost opposite in the sky now rising again in the evening.

I think Scorpio stays in the south east from your view point slowly moving more east through the winter (but I could be wrong)
