The Lightning Network is absolutely amazing, especially when you realize that it’s being built organically by thousands of plebs all over the world who invest their time, energy, and capital to create a payment system that can be used by virtually anyone, and basically for free.

It’s hard to believe so few people have even heard of it yet, but if you ask someone to name three corporate-funded proof-of-stake tokens that pretend in their marketing to be faster, cheaper, or more efficient, most of them probably could.

Which self-sovereign lightning implementations do you run?

LND using Umbrel. It’s what I started with two years ago, and I haven’t had the chance to set up a second node. I’d like to explore some other alternatives when I have the opportunity.

It sure is a good feeling knowing you can't get rugged 🫡

How do you know you can't get rugged?

I shouldn't say can't, but it's unlikely

Umbrel doesn’t have access to my wallet.

Lightning is magic. Lot of didn’t hear about it because there is no marketing team. Adoption will be slow due to organic movement.
