Perhaps both/all possibilities exist in the quantum field. Say, both globe and flat are both subjectively true because they exist in consciousness fields, but ultimately it's all energy, frequency and vibration eminating from the void of God.
Cmon man, you can do better than that. You said you could reason from first principles. I'm still not seeing a need for flat earth as a plausible explanation for anything.
I actually said that I find that debates don't get you very far and asked if you'd ever entertained it yourself. Which ended up in you wanting me to justify myself.

It's more my fault for the initial post, and I shouldn't claim to know these things. I think the universe probably works in ways that I can't even imagine, let alone figure out.
