Hmm. Honestly I have seen these and opendimes as really cool ideas. But base layer physical bitcoin might be doomed to become (very valuable) relics one day. The good side is if there is a decent size UTXO associated with the card's key then it will never become unvaluable. I can see few to no scenarios where bitcoin fees stay high while the price remains low. So Merry Christmas to your friends and family ;)
Yeah, I suppose trading the physical Satscard around will always be zero-fee 🤣. Maybe there’s a business there in ten years—hand me a Satscard and I’ll send you sats via lightning.
