BTW, I have it on good authority that if you create a Threads account and try to delete it, it stays in indefinite “deactivated” status unless you also delete your Instagram account.

All of 'Meta' is either cringe at best or 🚩 at worst. They stole and leveraged all their user data to drive huge revenue.
Nostr is the signal to that noise.
I deleted Facebook permanently like 5 years ago. I still get random emails saying that I have 5000+ unread notifications. I don’t think Zack deletes any account. He just hides it from the public to see.

I would have to dredge up some of the posts that I found a while ago but I tried going down that rabbit hole for mine.
it's doable but if you've spent money on games through the oculus store then you will lose access to all of those and have to rebuy them the from other stores out there.
