I am glad I joined nostr when I did, because it forced me to learn about lightning, and consecutively about bitcoin. If I were to join now, I wouldn’t even know Lightning network existed, since many clients make a seamless integration. I've noticed that the people who switched to self-hosting, like me, have usually been here for longer, but now I understand why this is. Interesting.
This is probably also why I understand #relays.
I think I was lucky, to have learned that the notes come from different servers, so you can control the notes you read by switching them, as if they were TV channels.
