Something the last 24 hours have confirmed for me:

Nostr's free speech power extends far beyond the fact that one's posts themselves cannot be censored.

It also empowers the poster in knowing that this community of nostriches is ROCK-SOLID in supporting each other's right to speak their truth, whether they agree with what they have to say or not.

Speaking from personal experience, I feel 100% safe to go as hard as I possibly can on here, because I know that even when the fiat world outside of Nostr sends matrix agents after me, my people on the freedom protocol will have my back through the storm, joining the fight for my right to speak my mind even if they disagree with what I'm saying (often very strongly).

Plus, the zaps that are thrown in for good measure by those who appreciate you for taking that risk, are a strong bonus incentive to keep pushing forward and never back down 💪⚡️

From the perspective of a poster, who may be on the fence about whether or not they're going to share a controversial perspective on a certain issue, this perceived social blanket is a POWERFUL booster in confidence to open their mind and share their unique view, without fear of cancellation in the digital or physical realms. (Keyword being "perceived" here - I could still get jailed or killed for posting the things that I do, but that's a discussion for another day 🤣)

Social dynamics like this are what will bring the most fearless truth-seekers/speakers on Earth over to Nostr, and accelerate the broader global awakening process beyond what we can imagine right now.

I've never been more confident that free speech maximalism is going to win, and Nostr will boost us into this reality with a flurry of cascading God Candles of enlightenment that even Bitcoin's price chart will pale in comparison to ⚡️🔥🚀🙌

On X, I have had 2 posts given limited visibility due to using a certain two words in both of them. I thought Elon Musk said X would be a free-speech platform.

This is a big reason why I'm on nostr and not any legacy socials. If there is something important that you need to get the word out about and it doesn't comply with the Orthodoxy then that post will be silenced at your time of greatest need.

All of it is just digital sharecropping and hoping you don't say the wrong thing that might be demonetized or censored. If we don't build our livelihoods on THEIR platforms then they cant rugpull us for wrongspeech. Its all castle building on sand.

I appreciate you speaking your truth and support anyone else's ability to do so even if I don't agree with what they believe or say.

Nostr is a free market of ideas, and if something triggers us then that is where we should be examining ourselves and our reactions (most people will just block/mute the external person saying something that sparks an emotional response- when they could look inside and do some introspection instead)
