The Texas minis are done! They turned out so cute 😆. The blue is slightly smaller , the difference between 1.5 mm and 1.25 mm hooks. #crochet #crochetstr #yarn #yarnstr #fiberarts #texas

Can I buy one that's in the shape of Pennsylvania?

There is in fact a pattern for Pennsylvania 🎉. I'm not a pattern designer, so my skills are limited to what's available 😂🤷‍♀️. So yes, I could do that for you.

Sent you a dm

I've always wanted to learn to knit and/or crochet. a couple of times I tried but I didn't stick with it.

you obviously have stuck with it and it shows in your beautiful and #impeccable work.

Thank you for the kind words. I try to stick to things that bring joy to people and myself along the way. 🫂🫂

Are you going to do all the states?

I'm not a pattern designer, so I'm limited to what's available. The designer hasn't gotten to all 50 yet, but I think it would be fun to do them all.

Is it that difficult? Could you show me what pattern for texas look like ?

It's written out directions with how many stitches to make, then increase stitches and decrease stitches for shaping. I can't share the pattern because it's someone else's work.

But as I've started making simple things on my own without a pattern, once you figure out the basics it comes together pretty quick. One day, maybe I'll sit down and figure it all out.

Thank you ! I haven't crocheted since years but I'm thinking knowing actual dimensions of the states and the Texas example it should be easy to calculate others. *I'm always all about automation witch is not a good approach for creativity ;D

The best would be to get this person onto Nostr and Zap them into making all the states ;D

I'm not from the States but I'd love to see all of them with borders sown to one another !

Lol, I wish there were more yarn people of all sorts here. The few that are are such cool people.

And yes, I've started breaking things down in my head as I'm making other people's patterns to see how they come together to make the shape, flat things are so much easier than 3D shapes. Finding the confidence in myself (and time) to just sit down and start and document the steps is step one. I *think* I can do it is slowly becoming I *know* I can do it.
