Could this be the reason there were 30ft waves in CA? So there were some tremors on ocean bed I guess.

I’ve not looked at weather maps to be able to say for sure but the earthquakes were well after the waves in Cali

I was wondering if the Japan earthquake were preceded by quakes in the ocean bed.
